Verizon Wireless will likely launch the long-awaited CDMA iPhone on Tuesday, January 11th at an event being held in the 1,000-plus capacity Frederick P. Rose Hall at New York City’s Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Digital Daily’s John Paczkowski is citing sources close to Apple in confirming that this will indeed be the Verizon iPhone debut.
The invitation is unusually vague: “Join us as we share the latest news from Verizon Wireless.” Usually these invites at least tease the product or service being introduced, so the fact that absolutely nothing has been tipped here is also telling. Combined with the leaked cases we just saw, the Case-Mate slip-up, and the fact that Apple was just revealed to have blacked out store employee vacations from the last week of January through the second week of February, the evidence for iPhone is almost overwhelming.
