So if you’re on the list of people that cringed their teeth when they hit the Install button of the OTA upgrade of iOS 5.1 and forgot all about their Jailbreak, you might be in luck. The Dev-Team has just updated RedN0w to version 0.9.10b6 and it brings you the option of getting a tethered jailbreak of your device as long as it doesn’t run on an A5 chip (Sorry iPhone 4S and iPad2 readers).
There’s nothing hot about a tethered jailbreak of any iOS device, but if you lost it by mistake, you’re sadly out of of choices. Make sure you download the version of Redsn0w for either your Mac or PC and follow all the instructions to the dot to get back to your jailbroken freedom. Sadly we’re not sure as to when the iPhone 4S or iPad 2 will be supported, and the option of going fully untethered is another mystery we’d love to crack so we’ll keep you posted.
