Fragmentation in the Apple department of mobile phones just got worse. Really, if you’ve got complaints about Android, as of today, you’re not alone! First it was that the iPhone 3G wasn’t getting any Game Center love,.. Now after I ran the iOS 4.1 update on an iPhone 3GS, the first thing I looked for was the first thing missing.. No HDR Photography.
There was true logic in not expecting HD uploads over Wi-Fi on any of the older devices since none of then recorded video in 720p, but what’s the excuse with HDR? Call it a lame sensor, probably,.. But considering all this update requires is software, I consider that very unlikely. Call this the first memo from Cupertino saying,.. “We want you all using an iPhone 4″.
Ohh well. As it stands, I guess Game Center was enough of a good reason to upgrade, even if I currently only get Pac-Man on my feed. TV rentals for a buck,.. well, not a bad thing either. Bug fixes,.. welcome,.. but for the rest? My opinion about this whole thing is COME’ON APPLE!! The only good news is that there is word that the Dev-Team is working on a hack for legacy devices, so stay tuned for that one.
