Spotify launched in the US mid-July last year and brought its application to the iTunes Store for music lovers willing to subscribe to the service. Up until now you could only stream music in low quality (96 kbps) and high quality (160 kbps) but the newly released version takes to the next level.
After you apply the refresh you can go to Settings and choose the “Extreme” setting which will grace you with 320 kbps quality audio. Of course, you need to watch out for your data plan as it is a data-hungry choice but if you have a pair of audiophile headphones and want the best out of every beat, 320 kbps is the way to go. One-tap log in with Facebook is another feature added by the refresh, though not as important as Extreme quality streaming. Maybe the good folks at Spotify decide to grace us with a dedicated iPad app soon?
