The Apple iPhone 4S seems to be struggling with a couple of issues: the battery drain problem which, even though it seemed to not affect everyone, was tentatively fixed by Apple via the iOS 5.0.1 update. Now some users are reporting problems with WiFi connectivity.
Apple was supposed to launch iOS 5.0.2, allegedly, this week but it was delayed due to some memory leak problems according to rumors. Now the WiFi problem users are reporting seems to render the device incapable of joining WiFi networks or, if connected, maintaining those connections (plus some transfer speed-related reports).
As it has been already demonstrated, the iPhone 4S battery problems are not hardware related. We have several iPhone 4S devices in our Pocketnow labs (both carrier and unlocked versions) and we didn’t experiment any unusual battery drain issues or WiFi connectivity problems.
