The untethered iOS 5 jailbreak for the iPhone 4 (A4-chip powered devices) was demoed on video recently by developer Pod2g; he just updated on the status of his work and it’s a rather interesting one.
All the details concerning the A4 untethered jailbreak have been handed over for testing, finishing, developing and releasing purposes to the Chronic Dev Team. Pod2g, the man basically behind the solution will be focusing on a similar jailbreak for A5-powered devices (iPhone 4S and iPad 2), which translates into excellent news for both iPhone 4 owners with iOS 5 (who will get an untethered jailbreak solution very soon) and iPhone 4S owners dreaming to set their phones free.
