This amount of patience can become irritating. This is probably not such a big deal for us iPhone owners, since there’s not much to look out for in iOS 4.2, but I sure feel sorry for iPad owners who are still dreaming about a multi-tasking menu. Sadly, even though everything pointed out to an official release of iOS 4.2 today, it got pulled out due to a Wi-Fi bug found on iPads. We’re now looking at GM2, which is build 8C134b, and it seems all it included was the Wi-Fi fix, no mention on iPhone issues yet.

Still no details on how much more we’ll have to wait, but our best bet is that it’ll probably take a week. Lots of rumors have it being released next tuesday, but I honestly don’t know who to believe any more. Again, aside from AirPrint and AirTunes, what we’re really all waiting for is the iOS 4.2 Jailbreak and carrier unlocked we got promised last week.
