Apple’s iCloud service launched recently, is currently available as a Beta for users that have iPhone 4 smartphones running iOS 4.3.3 and reside in the U.S.
According to Apple’s own iCloud dedicated web page, only GSM variants of the iPhone 4 benefit the Beta of iCloud, meaning AT&T. That being said, Verizon iPhone 4 owners are left out and it could be because simply their version of iOS is 4.2.8 (software fragmentation anyone?) or because there’s much more to the story — like Verizon maybe? Hopefully there will be a Verizon only software update to match the version numbers and Big Red customers can also enjoy the Beta.
