March 7 was the day when Apple announced the New iPad and we knew it from the keynote that it will be available in brick-and-mortar stores starting from March 16. We’ve just got another confirmation so if you want to grab one, March 16 is the day to stand in line at stores which open at 8:00AM local time in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland and the UK; along with Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
Additionally, on March 23, the New iPad will be available in 25 more countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
As a reminder, the 2012 iteration of the iPad brings “Retina Display” which doubles the resolution compared to the iPad 2, a new A5X chip, 1GB of RAM, new image sensor and lenses, as well as 4G LTE-capable radio.
The prices are as follows: WiFi only models – $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB model, and $699 for the 64GB model. WiFi + 4G models: $629 for the 16GB model, $729 for the 32GB model and $829 for the 64GB model.
