Lots of rumors are going around of Apple holding an iOS 5 event in April, just as they did last April to announce all the changes they’d include on iOS 4. No major leaks have really made the scene yet, but there has been a lot of talk about a full revamp to MobileMe.
First it was a German site mentioning that a trusted resource confirmed a full revamp, now we have a mejor educational institute telling their students to get the 60 day MobileMe trial for now to give Apple time to release a major revamp. Among the details, it seems Apple is focusing on bringing an enhanced experience in Photos, Music and Video, but there’s no mention about PIM synchronization. One thing that was mentioned again, is that the $99 a year price tag will go away, and that current subscribers of MobileMe will get all the existing services for one more year, as future plans don’t support it.
Our advice to you, go get that 60 day trial and simply cancel it if Apple doesn’t drop the price tag.
