This Sunday we’ve heard new rumors regarding the upcoming iPad 2 refresh together with reports concerning a new camera — one of eight-megapixels — which was hinted by the picture of an alleged iPad 3 shell case, thicker, more tapered. Now another set of images is here to claim that the iPad 3 will indeed be thicker, as seen in the picture above.
Even though the design is rumored to be just 1-2 mm thicker, because of the tapering, the alleged iPad 3 case definitely looks thicker than the iPad 2 to the naked eye but it will feel thinner in hand, according to reports. Same rumors imply that the iPad 3 will have a narrower bezel compared to the iPad 2 (even though there’s really no picture to back that one up).
Moving on to the camera, in the image below, it is clearly visible that there is a new set of lens. Contrary to previous reports of an eight-megapixel camera, MICGadget is uncertain about it specifications. As far as capacities go, there’s hear-say about the traditional 16GB, and 32GB variants, with the addition of a possible 128GB iPad 3 (you’ve read right!).
As far as the “smaller” iPad is concerned, we’ve heard reports of a seven-inch tablet as well as rumors of a probably eight-inch iPad. Today’s report claims that there will be indeed a seven-inch iPad coming later this year.
