It looks like Mophie, makers of the Juice Pack Air, will be getting back into the iPhone extended battery game. This time, Mophie will be creating an iPhone 4 hardcase that will integrate an extended battery pack into its shell to offer both protection and longer use time between recharges, much like what its rival MiLi has done. The extended battery for the iPhonr 4 looks attractive, turning the glass and steel phone into something like the iMac’s display offering a contoured back and straight side edges that curve at the corners. Additionally, users of the Mophie Juice Pack Air for iPhone 4 will be able to use any micro USB connector to charge and sync their phones, which should be more readily available than an iPhone dock connector cable.
Rumored pricing should be around $79, around the same cost as the MiLi, and should double the iPhone’s battery life with its 1500 mAh battery. It could come as soon as next week.
