Not sure what to expect on March 2nd with a possible iOS 5 announcement, but Apple better deal with the current intrusive notifications system most of us hate. If it already annoys you beyond belief, and you’ve Jailbroken your iPhone, MobileNotifier is a great solution designed by Peter Haras. All you have to do is add repo http://phajas.xen.prgmr.com/repo to your sources and install MobileNotifier.

It’s currently in its third beta, but does a great job in not only providing a notifications system that allows you to continue working without interruptions, but also makes great use of the rest of the screen when you pull up the multi-tasking bar with the notifications you haven’t taken care of.
