Ok, finally something positive to say about iTunes 10. People may hate the logo, others like me may hate Ping with passion, but for all of iTunes’ existence, people have always hated the fact that you can’t connect iPods or iOS devices not originally synced to it without the risk of getting it wiped and synced with other content. Well it seems Apple finally read this section of the feedback memo, because some things have changed.
Sadly, you still won’t be able to sync an iPod or iOS device with multiple computers if that’s what you were expecting, but now you can at least connect any of these to any iTunes loaded computer and have the application play the music within the portable device even if it’s not yours. Kind of neat if a friend crashes in at your party and wants to take over the DJ roll without messing up your music library.
