iOS Kindle App Brings Google, Wikipedia Search to iPhone, iPad

After having announced price drops and revised editions of its e-reading hardware, Amazon also quietly updated its Kindle ebook app for iOS devices to bring Google and Wikipedia search. On the iPhone and iPad, users can now highlight a word while their reading on their Kindle app and the definition will appear in a box at the bottom of the screen. Right underneath the definition are links to a Google search as well as Wikipedia if users are curious in investigating the topic(s) further.

Like previous Kindle editions, the new version supports Amazon’s Whispersync to synchronize your notes and the last page read across all your different devices so you can pick up where you left off on your iPhone, Mac, PC, Android phone, iPad, or Kindle device.
