An alleged new version of iOS, probably the next version 5 to be shipping with iPhone 5, was captured on video running on a white iPhone 4. And this specific white iPhone 4 looks to be one of 64GB judging by the XXGB marking at the back which we’ve previously seen, as well as the About info.
From the video below you’ll notice that upon double clicking the Home Button in order to bring up multitasking, you will be presented with a new screen. It’s no longer the lower row of icons you’re used to on iOS 4.x but it’s a completely new screen that shows a total number of nine cards, representing the applications open and their respective thumbnails.
Closing an app is done the same way you’d do it on your current Apple smartphone: long tap and hold followed by actioning the X button on the overlay. Additionally, the top part features a new search box called Search iPhone which would be the iPhone version of Spotlight search. System-wide search looks to operate just the same way as on the current iOS version.
So there you have it! Whether this is iOS 5 or an intermediate version (4.5 or something) is yet unknown. Given it runs on an iPhone 4, chances are that this is not the real deal but it’s hard to tell from leaked videos like those below. Let us know of your thoughts!
