BGR is reporting that an updated version of iOS, version 4.3.3, for the iPhone, will be landing as soon as in the next two weeks and, as we can see from the changes, it will put an end to “spygate” as we reported some two weeks ago.
After the platform refresh, the update will no longer back up the location database to iTunes. Also, the size of the location database will be reduced and it will be deleted entirely when Location Services are turned off. This might be good news for those worried but even better news is that iOS 4.3.3 will bring battery life improvements — not that the battery life on the iPhone 4 was bad.
