Jailbreak bells keep ringing closer and closer. The funny part is when the bells ring for an OS that hasn’t yet been officially released. Sadly these bells aren’t for all the iPhone crowd, but this just means things are getting closer. Alright so the PwnageTool for jailbreaking iOS 4.2 is now available for download. Word of warning, this is the old Kamikaze way of jailbreaking your device where you need a PC involved. Great news for those who don’t mind living on the edge, but the sad part of the news is it doesn’t work on all devices yet. It only works on the iPhone 3GS and if it came with the old bootrom. So, if you’re desperate to get this working on your device, here’s what you have to do.
1. Download iOS 4.2 beta here,.. remember, this’ll probably need bug spray patience on your behalf
2. Verify what bootrom version you’re using with this tutorial. Remember this only works on the old bootrom
3. If your device is lucky enough to be on the list, follow this tutorial to get the Jailbreak working.
4. Pray that it works.. =D
