There’s no need to start Safari and go to Google’s web page if you want to make a Google search on an iPhone, at least that’s what Google’s saying when talking about its new, redesigned Google Search app — formerly Google Mobile App — for iOS.
The interface is divided into two sections: the left part shows categories between which you can scroll and swipe while the right side returns search results filtered by the option selected on the left. The new toolbar is added in addition to the ability of picking up where you left off in case you exit the application and do something else. Other notable features include improvements to Google Goggles, Voice Search, Search with My Location inside search as well as displaying Gmail unread mail counter.
