FaceTime Video Cam Front and Center on iPod Touch?

It looks like a leaked front glass panel for what is expected to be the next-generation iPod Touch shows a hole large enough to be a FaceTime camera for video chats has surfaced on the Internet.

At WWDC, Apple had announced that more FaceTime devices are coming soon, and it would make sense to bless the iPhone 4‘s cousin with such capabilities.

While the authenticity of the glass panel isn’t fully confirmed, it does lend credence to earlier rumors that FaceTime calls on the iPod Touch may be based on email addresses rather than phone numbers. Now, all iPod Touch users need is either a WiFi hotspot or one of those rumored Sprint cases with a built-in 3G modem, which would be a lot more than what we can say for Apple and AT&T which currently limits FaceTime to WiFi only sans Jailbreak.
