All the API changes coming in iOS 4.2 had the whole Jailbreak community, and all of us freedom fans, a bit worried. Sadly Cydia,.. the mother of all needs for the whole Jailbreak project to have a purpose, had a couple of problems in working with iOS 4.2. I’m not really techie enough to understand what was going on, but the main problem here is that it needed to be fixed before the iOS 4.2 jailbreaks got released. But anyways, good news all around mention that it’s finished and it even includes an overhaul.
No details have yet emerged regarding the changes that will come, and sadly Apple’s sluggishness in releasing iOS 4.2 is really making many of us inpatient to have a look. The November 7th release rumors failed, and other rumors out there mention it being released today or next tuesday. Just keep in mind that after iOS 4.2 is released, the Jailbreak should be available just days after now that Cydia is finished, so stay tuned!
