You know,.. I’ll have to call the iOS 4 deployment the lamest job any smartphone company has ever released in the face of the earth. Windows Mobile and Android OEM’s simply either offer an OS upgrade or they don’t,.. but they never offer something in which they won’t be able to deliver fully. Such is the case with iOS 4, leaving tons of iPhone 3G owners stuck with sluggish devices at the expense of just a couple of lame upgrades that simply made the whole chore of updating a mess.

You thought the problem ended there?.. Wrong.. Apple’s new Game Center page just went live and to our surprise, iOS 4.1 won’t bring the goods to iPhone 3G owners yet again. So yeah, you get the supposed bug fixes, which’ll hopefully get the phone to work again, but that’s pretty much it. Second Generation iPod Touch owners are in luck, thanks to a slightly faster processor, but that’s pretty much it.
Word of advice, we’re expecting iOS 4.1 to be available tomorrow, so if you own an iPhone 3G and are still on iOS 3.1.3, stay there and sell the thing before things get worse. If you made the mistake of updating to iOS 4, well, sadly you’ll have to update to get rid of the bugs.
What’s next, apps won’t support it either Stevo?
