Even without the bells-and-whistles of the iPhone 4′s Retina display and FaceTime camera, the 3GS still has plenty to offer. If you can live with being 18 months behind-the-times, you should be able to keep yourself plenty busy with all the App Store has to offer. This might be just the phone for the curious technophobe in your life; get them hooked on Apple’s polished UI without wasting money on a phone that’s more powerful than they’d really need.
