Apple is going to release the next generation of its mobile platform, iOS 5, on October 12. It will bring all the new features to your iPhone (except for the Siri assistant bit) and bring it in line with the newly announced iPhone 4S.
According to recent reports, Apple will release iTunes 10.5 (and an update for its Mac OS X Lion operating system for that matter) prior to releasing iOS 5. Developers are already using betas of iTunes 10.5 together with iCloud but the new software update will bring iCloud integration to the masses.
