The iPhone 5 is already in carrier testing according to recent reports that cite insider sources and the debate regarding the launch timeframe is still open. Some are convinced that Apple is still on track for a September release while others find it just normal for Cupertino to push back the launch to October. Continuing the next Apple-phone launch saga, we hear rumors from the supply and production chain.
Pegatron, Apple’s manufacturer in China that made the CDMA Verizon iPhone 4, will be shipping the phones to Cupertino in September, according to DigiTimes. The company will join Foxconn, the other maker Apple contracted for the GSM variant of the phone, and has reportedly secured a 10 million units order which it will ship next month, DigiTimes reports citing industry sources.
