We don’t usually deal with computer and its software around here but with a few exceptions when there’s a strong relationship with mobile devices. It appears that Cupertino is preparing to bring iMessage to the Mac.
According to recent reports, iMessage is currently being developed for Mac OS X. When iOS 5 was introduced, we first heard of Apple’s way of inter-connecting iOS 5 devices in terms of communication with the help of iMessage. Pretty much in the vein of BlackBerry Messenger, we complained about the lack of support for computers, like FaceTime for instance.
There are mixed speculation about iMessage support in Mac OS X. Some say it might be integrated with the iChat application and others believe it will be a stand-alone software. According to reports, the project may not see the light of day but it’s “definitely on the table for release in future versions of OS X Lion”.
