After several rumors, Target confirmed its plans to test Apple centers at 25 of its retail locations this year. The American retailing company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will feature “expanded displays” of Apple products, according to Dustee Jenkins, spokesperson for the retailer.
Best Buy locations already feature Apple islands so the move towards retailers is not out of the ordinary. It is yet unknown if the products sold in these locations will be diversified; at the moment, Target is selling iPads and iPods. Expect these mini-store locations to open in two waves, one for this summer and the second for autumn.
