The New iPad was launched on March 16 after its introduction on March 7 and, while we were told that sales were excellent, we were missing some official numbers. Today Apple filled in the blanks by telling everyone just how well the New iPad sold.
Three million units, that’s how much Apple sold in four days, from March 16 until today. “The new iPad is a blockbuster with three million sold — the strongest iPad launch yet” said Philip Schiller. Among the new things it brings in addition to its predecessor, there’s the incredible Retina Display, an improved A5X chip, 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE-capable radio and a new image sensor paired with the excellent lenses from the iPhone 4S. As of March 23, the New iPad will be available in 25 more countries. Did you pick up yours yet? If not, check out or upcoming full review of the New iPad.
