Apple iOS 5 Already Jailbroken, Took Less Than A Day

24 hours didn’t even pass since Apple announced its future iOS 5 and made it available for developers along with the SDK so they get their apps ready for when the platform refresh will hit and we already have a jailbreak solution.

The images above come from MuscleNerd who managed to jailbreak Apple’s newborn mobile platform in just a few hours. The hacked iOS 5 is running on a 4th generation iPod touch that now features Cydia and iSSH nicely alongside the new Newsstand app icon. The jailbreak is tethered and is made via limera1n hack, bringing no surprises according to MuscleNerd. We’ll see if (when) things will go smoothly with an untethered iPhone jailbreak.
