Apple’s recently launched iCloud might give you a backup solution and sync between devices for documents, pictures, mail, contacts and more but it appears that Cupertino is planning on bringing movie streaming to iCloud.
There were rumors circulating of Apple trying and preparing to compete with Netflix but according to a recent Los Angeles Times report, Apple people “have been meeting with studios to finalize deals that would allow consumers to buy movies through iTunes and access them on any Apple device”.
The service which would eventually allow users to stream movies purchased from iTunes to any iCloud enabled device will reportedly go live either late 2011 or early 2012.
