Yeah, I was another one of the guys who sat for a full hour watching the Verizon keynote at CES expecting some iNews, and even though LTE took the stand as expected, no Verizon iPhone was mentioned. On an interesting note, we just learned that Apple has just halted all vacation time for their store employees starting the last week of January, and going as far as three weeks, all the way to mid February.
The vacation halt could mean many things, but one of these, is the very anticipated launch of the Verizon iPhone. Some people out there mention this’ll be the time Apple will release the iPad 2, but considering Apple’s 2010 iPad launch, things were shown in late January, but not sold until April. Thus, if we consider the iPad as not being such a sales success as the iPhone 4, our biggest bet is that we will see two devices being revealed later this month (Verizon iPhone and iPad 2), and launched as soon as the first week of February, or who knows, I’d even bet to see things sold on that same last week of January. If not, then why affect store employees for something they’re not ready to sell, right?
Don’t hold your breath on this report, but so far, things seem to be aligning for something big in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.
