AirMusic is truly one of those “must have” apps. Call this AirPlay, for 99 cents total and without the need of a $99 AppleTV. This app will give you one of the simplest solutions ever to let you stream music to your TV’s speakers through your PS3 or XBox 360. It’ll also stream music to your PC’s speakers. All you need to do is make sure that both of either of the devices mentioned are connected to the same wireless network, start AirMusic and that’s it.
The service streams music to your PC through your Windows Media Player, which makes us laugh at the irony that I don’t see a Mac on the list of compatible devices. It’ll sadly also not work with old iTunes DRM-protected music, but for all the recent ones, and even your outside MP3 library, count on it. It’s currently on sale for 99 cents for the first 10,000 downloads, so make sure you make that list by purchasing it in iTunes. I wonder why Apple hasn’t figured this one out? Which in turn worries me, so move quick before they notice and pull the app.
