For devices with a slide-out keyboard, screen rotation speed is very important. If it’s not fast enough, by the time you get in position to begin typing, the screen hasn’t finished turning over the other way, and that can slow you down if you’re trying to quickly send an SMS or reply to an email.

In this video, we compare the new HTC S743 with the HTC Touch Pro and XPERIA X1, and conclude that the S743 has a screen rotation speed that is just a tad too slow.
