It looks like this time AT&T and Sprint left the Internet Sharing icon in the Programs menu, which is cause for hope. However, when you try to setup your Bluetooth connection or enable Internet Sharing over USB, you end up with a message saying that “The remote party has ended this connection.” While frustrating, not all hope is lost.
The good folks over at XDA-Developers suggest a registry key edit so you will need a program like Total Commander or another registry editor. You’ll need to delete the entire key, not just the value (every key is assigned a value, which does something different depending on the value assigned) in this modification. You will want to delete ForceCellConnection, which is found under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINECommInternetSharingsettings.
Although the hack is found under the forum for the Touch Diamond, it works with Sprint’s Touch Pro, and AT&T’s Touch Pro which is called the AT&T HTC Fuze. Also, if you have the Samsung Epix on AT&T, the above hack should also work as well.
Adam will cover the Fuze in greater depth soon so stay tuned!
