Easy E-mail and Text Message Filtering

If you're like me, then you probably have more than 150 E-mail messages and maybe more than 50 Text Messages in your device Inbox and finding THE one you are looking for can be a real pain sometimes, especially when you need it fast. For those who don't already know it, here's how to easily find what you are looking for!

Once you've opened Messaging on your Windows Mobile device, you're prompted to go to either SMS/MMS or Outlook E-mail (in case you've not disabled the prompting from Menu, Options, Display account picker when opening Messaging) and then you are served with a list containing all the E-mail messages (or Text Messages, it's the same procedure) you have in your inbox.

To easily filter both E-mails and Text Messages, tap the SIP icon at the bottom and enter the words you are looking for (the filtering criteria; I've used the word "News" on E-mails and "Voda" on Text Messages). Your messages will be scanned for words matching your criteria, both in their subject, contents and sender, so you can't really miss. All the other messages that are not matching the criteria will be hidded and you will be notified at the bottom that there are "X out of Z Items, Filtered". Return to full view by pressing the Backspage button to delete your criteria.
