XPERIA X2: Five Things You Didn’t Know

We’ve spent the day looking through about a dozen Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 videos so that you didn’t have to. After watching, we’ve learned some interesting things.

1. SE has taken the panel concept one step further by allowing the phone to automatically change panels based on time of the day as specified by the user. Imagine having a messaging panel in the morning to check your email, a multimedia panel in the afternoon for listening to tunes on your lunch break, and a Google Maps panel in the evening to help you navigate to dinner

2. The X2 will be available in black and silver color choices, like the original

3. The X2 weighs about the same as the X1…3 grams lighter to be exact

4. The dimensions of the X1 and X2 are almost identical: 52.6 x 110.5 x 16.7 mm for the X1, and 110.0 x 54.0 x 16.0 mm for the X2

5. The X2 has an accelerometer (unlike the X1)

For a bit more, check out Sony Ericsson’s page for the X2.
