We reviewed the i-mate Ultimate 9502 a few weeks ago and deemed it the TyTN II killer. To say the least, we were quite impressed by the capabilities of the device.

From the factory, the 9502 came with WinMo 6 and not 6.1. It looks like there is a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM floating around on the i-mate forums for the 9502 that fixes the following issues:

-SDHC is supported now

-MS Voice Command is working

-GPS does not have to be turned on manually anymore

-Camera program memory leak seems to be fixed

The ROM is a beta so only the brave souls should give it an install, but the initial reactions from the forum users seem to be upbeat, with good stability and increases in free memory found. Click on to download.
