It’s unlikely that Microsoft has plans to do a tablet based off of the Windows Phone 7 operating system, but practically speaking, it would make a lot of sense. The interface is designed for touch, and could scale well to a “two pane” view, as this concept shows, to allow for a main menu area on the left, and content to the right. What do you think about this concept?
