Video: Verizon XV6900 Touch Enhancements

The XV6900 isn’t a typical Windows Mobile Professional phone. It adds several enhancements to make touch-operation a bit easier, or, shall we say, more like the iPhone.

Those that have been spoiled by the fantastic flick-scrolling of the iPhone will find that of the XV6900 to be just mediocre. It’s not terribly accurate, it doesn’t move fast enough, and the sensitivity could be better (though sensitivity has to do with the type of touchscreen). You can use the flick scrolling in several places: contacts, calendar, PIE, photo/video gallery, messaging, and the Start menu.

I really like the photo and video gallery (much better than the default), but found the zoom/pan gestures to be difficult to use.
