We’ve been testing out the official 2300mAh extended battery for the HTC HD2 and it’s pretty impressive. Where I might have to swap batteries in my HD2 after less than a day or so, the extended battery lasted me well over two and a half days. That’s pretty impressive especially since I’m used to high-power smartphones with weak battery life.
While the new lumpy battery cover may be ugly to some, it didn’t phase me too much. I like the smooth corners, and I like how you can set it down flat without the surface touching the camera lens. I also love the metal kickstand which works great for setting the phone up at an angle while watching movies or slideshows. The extra lump is kind of weird to hold, but it gives you a nice ledge for your fingers so it doesn’t slip as much.
The HTC HD2 extended battery with kickstand can be found at Clove for £35 or about $50 USD. Yes, it works with both the T-Mobile HD2 and the international version of the HTC HD2.
