Verizon’s new Home screen and VCast software isn’t the only difference in the Motorola Q9m. There’s also a few other interesting bundled applications as well as a few that are missing.
You’ve got a “Get Applications” shortcut that brings you do the Handango website. The “Wireless Sync” program lets you download Verizon’s Wireless Sync software.
The “Personalize My Q” icon is of special interest. This contains a number of program icons that help you customize the operating system to suite your tastes. You can change the Home screen shortcuts, Home screen right soft key button application, Home screen settings, sounds, and start menu view. The Start Menu view program lets you change the background image and the way the programs are listed in the Start menu.
Also included is an audio enhancement program, units converter, third party file manager, and the full Documents ToGo Suite. The Q9m does not include Opera as the default browser like the Q9h does. Nor does the Q9m include Windows Live or Windows Live Messenger. In fact, it doesn’t include any kind of instant messaging software which seems odd for something that may be so appealing for consumers.
