The device actually comes with a large array of charging adapters, so it would not be necessary to purchase one when traveling outside North America. The battery cover has a unique design of the world, to give more emphasis that this is an all-in-one worldwide device. With both CDMA and GSM the phone should work practically anywhere there is digital cell coverage.
