Having been given a pre-launch SIM Free UK Palm Centro, here is the unboxing video to show you what is in the box and give you a brief overview of the device.
Remembering that the device is aimed at a young demographic, it is still packed with features running on the Palm OS.
Crammed into the device is a micro SD slot, allowing the use of up to 4gb cards, a 320×320 touch screen, Bluetooth 1.2, a QWERTY keypad and a 1.2 megapixel camera.
Designing this device, Palm have thought carefully about how it is likely to be used by its target audience and left out the least likely to be needed features such as wi-fi and 3G. They have however bundled a range of office applications capable of viewing and editing native office documents and thrown in loads of extras like Google mobile maps and a complete on board user manual. In doing this they have managed to meet a price point reasonably low enough as to be affordable by its target audience.
