Sprint Launches Samsung Intrepid with Windows Mobile 6.5

Wow, where did this come from? We had no idea that Sprint was releasing a new Windows Mobile 6.5 today, but it looks like they’re joining the ranks of Verizon and AT&T. Hey T-Mobile, where’s your 6.5 phone?

The Intrepid is a candybar QWERTY device that has a touchscreen. It’s a rare form factor that we haven’t seen very much. The Intrepid is a world phone with a 2.5″ QVGA screen (low resolution, but you can’t expect VGA at such a small screen size) that has WiFi, Bluetooth, and EVDO Rev A. The battery is a hefty 1480mAh.

The device will be available Sunday, October 11 for $150 after a two year agreement.
