Samsung’s naming convention is getting ridiculous, though we do appreciate naming conventions that aren’t based on a string of numbers. What we don’t appreciate is multi-monikers and multi-phones dedicated to the same moniker. Take the Omnia Pro, a singular moniker that is associated with two phones: the international variant of the Jack on AT&T and also the QWERTY slider utilizing Windows Mobile Professional also known as the Samsung B7620–both the Windows Mobile Standard and Professional devices will bear the Omnia Pro branding.
However, the touchscreen-based Windows Mobile Professional Omnia Pro, a single hardware platform, will have two monikers. Confusing? Yes. The touchscreen Omnia Pro will also be known as the Armani2. The Omnia Pro (touchscreen edition), otherwise known as the Armani 2, will have the following specs and features according to the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, which just approved the device for Bluetooth specifications:
-Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
-800MHz processor.
-Dedicated graphics.
-SMS/MMS
-Stereo FM radio.
-AGPS.
-Business card scanner.
-Work and Life mode.
-Media player, photo viewer/editor (?!?), Pocket Office, etc.
