Like most new smartphones, the Samsung Captivate from AT&T can record video in 1280×720 resolution. That is a lot of resolution, but how is the quality? The below two videos are some samples taken from the Captivate on the highest quality setting. One is shot outdoors on a cloudy day, while the other is shot indoors in low light. While the audio is crisp on both, the video quality is overall lacking in color, and there’s also a lot of noise in the indoor sample because the Captivate has no LED light. If you want to see how other smartphones did with this test, take a look at our Droid X, iPhone 4, and EVO 4G 720p video samples.
What do you think about the Captivate sample video?
