The Korean cellphone makers are at it again trying to best each other in the features race with Samsung rumored to be bringing a 12-megapixel shooter to Mobile World Congress according to IntoMobile. Right now, the feature phones (read: non-smartphones) are blessed with an 8-megapixel camera maximum. The 12-megapixel phone would make Samsung the first to market to offer the next high-resolution camera phone.
All this news begs the question on when Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and others will be bringing the pixel count to smartphone users on devices like the next-generation Omnia and XPERIA X1.
