We found out a few weeks ago that the HTC Herald was not a follow up to the Hermes – instead, it’s a budget device with a thinner form factor. Essentially, an upgrade to the HTC Wizard. The video above shows some interesting views of the device. It also shows the screen refresh lag from the flip from portrait to landscape that is present in the HTC Hermes and Wizard. Clearly, this is a software issue, though I’m not sure if it’s a flaw in Windows Mobile or the ROM HTC uses.
