In this video, we take a tour of the software on the Pantech Matrix PRO.

One of the best parts of the PRO is the functional slider. With the slider, you can answer and end calls, plus have the keypad automatically lock. Not having to remember to lock your keypad is a huge convenience. The old Pantech Duo couldn’t do this trick.

Speaking of the keypads, when you slide open the QWERTY keyboard, the screen will rotate. If we compare screen rotation speeds with the old Pantech Duo, we find that the PRO is indeed faster than the Duo, but still sluggish compared to other devices.

As we drill into software, we find a ton of java-based trialware, as was the case with the LG Incite and other AT&T devices.
