Palm Pre Hardware Tour

The Palm Pre's hardware is a very minimalistic design. There is only one unlabeled round button on the front. Many people complain about Windows Mobile being difficult to make phone calls with. The truth is, on just about every Windows Mobile phone and all phones in general, all you need to look for is the Green phone hardware button to open the dialer. The Palm Pre has no such button.

Anyway, the Pre is also very reminiscent of the original HTC Touch released in 2007 (before the original iPhone). The rounded river-stone-shaped body feels great in the hand. That is until you slide the keyboard open to reveal some sharp plastic edges.

Of course in terms of specs, the Pre has all the usual suspects; WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3Mp Camera. It also has 256Mb of program RAM, and 8Gb of internal storage. There is no Micro SD card slot however. The LED camera flash and 3.5mm headset jack are welcome additions.
